Whitbread is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst in Dunstable, operating on a hybrid model with three days in the office. The role focuses on complex accounting and reporting, robust financial control, and timely financial information delivery.

You'll partner with stakeholders across the business and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position suits a part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong Excel and systems skills, capable of driving month-end processes and balance

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience with month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with year-end activities and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and systems skills with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Drive month-end activities to ensure timely P&L reporting.
• Prepare and review complex month-end journals.
• Provide detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary to stakeholders.
• Support month-end reviews with understanding of operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with Whitbread's Financial Control Framework.
• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, identify risks and resolve items.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
