Job summary

OpenDigital Limited in Wolverhampton is seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join its established practice. You will manage a varied portfolio, prepare and review year-end accounts for SMEs, limited companies and partnerships, and provide high-quality technical support.

You will build strong client relationships, mentor junior colleagues, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate with Partners to meet deadlines while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

The Role

As a Senior Client Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for preparing and reviewing year-end accounts while providing outstanding service and technical support.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing year-end accounts for a portfolio of SME clients, limited companies and partnerships.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Reviewing financial information and ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team, helping to develop their technical knowledge and confidence.
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide practical accounting advice.
• Working closely with Partners and senior management to ensure deadlines are met and clients receive an exceptional service.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice (essential).
• Hold an AAT qualification, be ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Have experience preparing year-end accounts for SMEs, limited companies and partnerships.
• Possess excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Enjoy mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
