Get Recruited (UK) Ltd is recruiting a Senior Accountant in Chester (hybrid) to manage a portfolio of SME and start-up clients. The role involves preparing statutory accounts, CT returns, and management accounts, while advising clients on financial planning and cash flow.

The ideal candidate is ACA or ACCA qualified with at least three years in accountancy practice and strong client-facing skills to support junior staff and liaise with HMRC as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA
• Minimum 3 years in accountancy practice
• Experience managing SME/start-up client portfolios
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax
• Ability to produce management accounts and VAT returns

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME/start-up clients
• Serve as main day-to-day client contact
• Prepare statutory accounts for various entities
• Manage assignments from records to completion
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns
• Produce monthly/quarterly management accounts
• Review VAT returns and bookkeeping
• Coach junior colleagues and monitor deadlines
