Headstar in Hessle, East Yorkshire, is seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of an established client portfolio within a growing independent practice. The role offers genuine autonomy, a clear route to partnership, and exposure to a broad range of work beyond routine compliance.

You will lead accounts preparation, tax compliance, and management accounting, mentor junior staff, and build client relationships as a trusted adviser.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification.

Following a sustained period of expansion, they're looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to help manage an increasing workload and support the development of junior team members.

This is a key hire for the business and offers significant long-term progression potential.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of an established portfolio of clients while supporting the wider team and helping drive the next phase of growth.

• Accounts Preparation: Preparing and reviewing accounts through to finalisation
• Tax Compliance: Personal and corporate tax work across a varied client base
• Management Accounts: Producing management information and supporting clients with financial reporting
• Client Management: Acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact
• Team Development: Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Advisory Exposure: Broad exposure across different areas of practice including trusts and estates work

What We're Looking For
