Job summary

Si Recruitment is seeking a Practice Accountant for their office-based role in Keighley. You will manage a varied client portfolio, prepare accounts for a range of entities and review junior staff work in a collaborative, professional environment.

The role offers a clear path to management, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, client liaison, and adherence to UK accounting and tax standards. Office-based, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, with on-site parking.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified, or QBE with a minimum of 3 years' practice experience.
• Solid understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience preparing accounts for varied entities including LLPs.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Reviewing the work of junior team members (supervisory/managerial capacity).
• Managing your own portfolio of clients (for those stepping into or already at manager level).
• Liaising with clients on day-to-day accounting and tax matters.
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects as required.

Location: Keighley

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000+ (Depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (Office-based)

A well-established and respected accountancy practice based in the Cross Hills area is seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to work with a varied portfolio of clients and progress into a managerial role within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Working from both incomplete and computerised records
• Preparation of company and personal tax returns
• Reviewing the work of junior team members (in a supervisory/managerial capacity)
• Managing your own portfolio of clients (for those stepping into or already at manager level)
• Liaising with clients on day-to-day accounting and tax matters
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or QBE with a minimum of 3 years' practice experience
• Solid understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations
• Strong experience preparing accounts for a wide range of entities, including LLPs
• High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills
• Experience with CCH, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel/Word
• Management accounts experience is desirable
