Job summary

Si Recruitment is seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant for an established Sheffield practice. This hands-on role requires ownership of a client portfolio and the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services with minimal supervision.

You will prepare and review year-end accounts, perform tax computations and returns, and manage corporation tax and VAT needs. The position offers flexible working and on-site parking where available.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounts and tax.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Experience preparing tax computations and returns.
• Experience using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Confident with minimal supervision and client-facing.

Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week, 7.5 hours per day)

An established accountancy practice in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team on a part-time basis. This is a hands‑on position, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and is a confident, capable professional ready to take ownership from day one. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own client portfolio and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of year-end accounts for a portfolio of clients
• Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries
• Preparation of tax computations and tax returns
• Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns
• Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Acting as a main point of contact for clients, offering advice and guidance

Requirements
