Job description

TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a firm of accountants on a part-time basis near Deal, Kent. You will work in a general practice capacity across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT, reporting to the Manager.

You will be a recently qualified or qualified by experience Senior Accountant. The role offers autonomy, with study support provided if required, and the opportunity to work remotely up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage using IRIS
2. Assisting with management accounts production
3. Personal taxation, corporate taxation, and VAT returns
4. General bookkeeping duties using Sage, Xero, or Quickbooks
5. Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees

Location: Commutable from most towns in East Kent, including Dover, Folkestone, Deal, Canterbury, Thanet, Margate, Sandwich, Ramsgate, etc.

Requirements

1. At least 5+ years of experience within an accountancy practice
2. AAT / ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
3. Hands-on experience with accounts, tax, and VAT preparation

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 FTE, dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
