Job summary

EcoOnline is seeking a qualified accountant to join the UK&I Financial Control Team. You will drive accurate financial reporting, lead monthly close, and partner with auditors to ensure high-quality audits.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP experience (MS Dynamics F&O), and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. You will mentor juniors and help drive process improvements across multi-entity and multi-currency setups.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong grounding in financial accounting and month-end close.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics F&O preferred).
• Experience as external auditor, preferably Big 4 or mid-tier.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS accounting standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to significant departmental initiatives, including improving the control environment and standardising workflows with automation and AI tools.
• Reconcile multi-currency intercompany accounts in a matrixed environment.
• Review assigned account reconciliations, journal entries, and audit samples prior to submission to external auditors.
• Play a key role in delivering the monthly close with complex or judgmental journal entries.
• Provide mentoring, training and technical guidance to junior team members.
