Job summary

Talent Finder is partnering with an established firm of chartered accountants in Edgware, North London, to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. You will manage a varied SME client portfolio with strong emphasis on accounts, tax and audit, while maintaining client relationships and delivering high-quality services.

You will work closely with partners, reviewing work, taking ownership of assignments and expanding into advisory tasks as your career develops.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Approximately three or more years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and review, corporation tax and general practice accounting.
• Experience coordinating audit assignments and liaising with clients, auditors and internal teams.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and maintain client relationships.
• Exposure to management accounts, budgeting, cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee preparation of accounts and tax assignments while maintaining high-quality client service.
• Review work by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Coordinate audit assignments with clients, auditors and internal teams.
• Support management accounts, budgeting, cash flow forecasting and advisory work as needed.
• Contribute to the development of the team and firm practices.
