Job summary

Aptean, a global provider of industry-specific software solutions, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Sheffield team. You will manage management accounts, lead month-end reporting, and collaborate with a Shared Service Centre to ensure accurate general ledger entries and statutory compliance.

You will take a proactive approach to process improvements, support onboarding of new entities, and provide clear management reporting to aid key business decisions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure all financial transactions are correctly reflected in the GLs.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Adhere to month-end procedures to meet reporting deadlines.
• Collaborate with overseas SSC for Accounting and AP responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with internal reporting requirements.
• Lead local statutory audits and accounts preparation with external advisers.
• Provide accurate management reporting to aid decision making.
• Support onboarding of newly-acquired entities in the region.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
