Job summary

ASEE Group seeks a proactive Accountant to join our finance function in Newry. You will ensure the smooth running of the accounts function and prepare management accounts, KPIs and board reports.

You will lead month-end processes, tax/compliance returns, budgeting, and drive improvements in financial systems while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent.
• Proven accounting experience, ideally in engineering or construction.
• Strong track record in management accounts and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of project accounting and cost control is advantageous.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Proficiency in Sage, Xero and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of UK financial reporting standards, VAT and compliance.
• Ability to work with both finance and operations teams.
• Analytical thinking, commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Job description
