Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd in Dudley is delighted to support a well-established medium-sized practice with an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant/Accounts Manager to join the team.

You will be fully experienced in accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, companies and charities, manage client portfolios, supervise staff, and liaise directly with clients including face-to-face meetings. ACA/ACCA or QBE desirable.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or QBE with experience within a practice environment.
• Experience in managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication skills, highly organised with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Fully experienced in accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities.
• Management accounts preparation and oversight.
• Oversee bookkeeping and ensure statutory disclosure requirements.
• Supervise staff, mentor junior colleagues and manage budgets.
• Direct liaison with clients and conduct face-to-face meetings.

Senior Accountant/Client Manager
Dudley
Salary £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client a well-established medium size firm based in Dudley. Due to the growth of the firm an exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Accountant/Accounts Manager to join the team.

Role Requirements -

• Fully experienced in all aspects of accounts preparation for: Sole traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies, Charities and not for profit organisations.
• Management accounts (preparation and overseeing)
• Bookkeeping (overseeing)
• Good working knowledge of accounts production software
• Fully conversant with statutory disclosure requirements
• Good audit experience (preferably running and managing company audits)
• Good rounded knowledge of various taxes, Corporation tax, Income tax, Capital Gains tax, VAT, CIS, PAYE
• Good working knowledge of tax software
• Experience in tax planning for individuals / businesses
• Experience of dealing with HMRC directly (handling enquiries)
• Managing staff, Running a team, Timetabling / setting budgets, Overseeing junior level staff work, Mentoring / training
• Working alongside office manager and practice manager
• Managing clients, Responsible for handling a client's account with the practice, Direct communication and liaison, Holding face to face client meetings

Personal Requirements -

• ACA, ACCA or QBE with experience within a practice environment.
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication skills, highly organised with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Knowledge of various accounting software.
