Job summary

Responsibilities include statutory accounts, tax returns, client management, and mentoring junior staff. Requires professional qualifications and 5+ years' experience in practice, with experience in Xero/QB/Sage and AML compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounts, tax and VAT.
• Experience with client management or team supervision.
• Proficient with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and management accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
• Prepare self-assessment and VAT returns, payroll and CIS.
• Manage client relationships and respond to HMRC queries.
• Review work and mentor junior staff.
• Onboard new clients and provide software support.
• Manage deadlines, workflow and day-to-day practice operations.
• Identify tax planning and additional service opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with accounting, tax and AML requirements.
