Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a multisite firm of chartered accountants in Thatcham to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. The role is autonomous, with responsibility for a varied portfolio and leading client meetings.

You will review and sign off work, provide commercially focused advice to business owners, and manage assignments from planning through to completion while developing junior colleagues. Salary £55,000–£60,000.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in an accountancy practice.
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong technical background.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience reviewing and signing off client accounts.
• Confident in leading client meetings and presenting information.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Sign off work completed by other team members.
• Lead client meetings and present financial information clearly.
• Provide commercially focused business advice to owners.
• Identify opportunities to offer additional services.
• Oversee assignments from planning through to completion.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Maintain strong client relationships and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with partners and management team.
