Job summary

eps.recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a friendly practice in Aylesbury. You’ll manage a client portfolio across accounts, tax and advisory, with autonomy and direct access to managers and partners.

You'll build strong client relationships, mentor junior staff, and spot tax planning opportunities while keeping deadlines and budgets on track. A UK practice background and ACA/ACCA or QBE are preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or QBE) with strong UK practice experience
• Experience managing a portfolio and reviewing others' work
• Solid technical knowledge across accounts and tax
• Confident, approachable communication
• Strong on cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks or Sage)

Responsibilities

• Preparing and finalising year-end accounts for a range of clients
• Preparing corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns
• Being a trusted point of contact and building long-term client relationships
• Reviewing and mentoring more junior members of the team
• Flagging tax planning and advisory opportunities as they arise
• Keeping jobs on track against deadlines and budgets
