Job summary

North Devon Homes is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team in Barnstaple. You will work with the Financial Controller to deliver accurate reporting, strong governance and robust budget control across the Group.

You will be professionally qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with advanced Excel skills and experience in management and financial accounting, reconciliations and reporting. DBS check required; closing date 21 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a professional accounting certification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems.
• Experience in management and financial accounting, reconciliations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and KPI information.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and external audit processes.
• Assist budget holders with interpretation of performance, forecasts and decisions.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning.
• Maintain balance sheet controls and capital accounting information.
