Job description

A well-established Chichester, West Sussex based Accountancy practice are currently seeking an experienced Semi Senior /Senior Accountant to join the business on a full time, permanent basis. The successful Accountant will be assisting with running a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner managed businesses carrying out the year end accounts, tax returns, offering regular advice regarding tax and other matters while offering the regular production of Management accounts all while sticking to relevant deadlines and providing a great all-around service. The accountant will have experience using Xero while also having a good knowledge of producing in depth management accounts and corporation tax return provisions.

Senior Accountant Job Overview

• Assisting with a portfolio of clients in a very client facing role
• Preparing statutory and year end accounts
• Personal and business tax returns
• Advising and dealing with a number of tax related issues
• Preparing And Submitting VAT returns
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks throughout the year, including P11Ds, ATED submissions,
• Collaborate closely with team members to maintain high standards and process efficiency
• Support management with additional duties relevant to the role
  
• Senior Accountant Job Requirements

• AAT qualified would be preferable but not essential, working towards ACA/ACCA
• Ready to grow with a forward-thinking firm
• Experience working in an accountancy practice is essential, ideally 2-3 years' experience
• Experience using Xero, Dext, Sage & Quickbooks software
• Experience preparing management accounts for a range of differing clients
• A car driver, living in a commutable distance of Chichester, West Sussex
• Strong IT skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Word

Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

• £35,000 - £45,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience
• Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week - 9am to 5.30pm, 1 hour lunch)
