Client Manager - Senior Accountant (Qualified or QBE)

We are working with a well-established single-site accountancy practice based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. They are seeking a Qualified or QBE Accountant to join as a Client Manager, leading a small accounting team and managing a client portfolio. The firm has a strong, longstanding client base and requires an experienced accountant to handle an expanding workload.

Job Overview

• Preparing accounts, reports, budgets, and financial statements for a portfolio of clients.
• Controlling and forecasting the company's income and expenditure.
• Assisting in the full production of month-end P&L and balance sheets.
• Managing a portfolio of clients.
• Reconciling accounts when required.
• Preparing VAT returns.
• Advising business owners on growth opportunities.
• Overseeing a small team of Junior Accountants/Semi Seniors.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud-based software.
• ACCA/ACA qualified (or final exams remaining) or QBE.
• Strong client focus in a client-facing role.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (flexible depending on skill and experience).
• Hours: 09:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
• Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays.
• Performance-related bonus for personal and company achievements.
