About the Senior Accountant role

We have an exciting role for a Senior Accountant in our Leicester office.

As a Senior Accountant you will manage a portfolio of mixed clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be reviewing and reporting on account performance, undertaking regular client visits and promoting positive client engagement.

Key responsibilities of a Senior Accountant will include:

1. Supporting the growth of the account and the client base and seeking business development opportunities across the multi-service lines TC Group offers to provide services that best serve the clients.
2. Actively managing the portfolio, including WIP management and debtor management to ensure lock up and other KPIs are met, ensuring client deadlines are met.
3. Supporting Partners & CSDs in ad hoc projects and activities.
4. Assisting in the management of the office, developing junior members of staff, and proactively looking to develop a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

1. ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience, with significant demonstrable experience within an accountancy practice background.
2. A good standard of accounting and tax knowledge.
3. Previous experience of developing and growing client accounts is advantageous.
4. Personable with excellent communication skills and able to develop strong client & team relationships.
5. Proficient in MS Office / highly PC literate, along with sound accounting system knowledge. Iris software experience would be beneficial.
6. Extremely organised and flexible, with a positive, solutions-based perspective.
7. Open to developing team methods and skills.
8. Flexible and able to travel to other regional offices.
