Job summary

Welltower Inc. in London seeks a Senior Accountant to support accounting and financial reporting for UK partnerships and operator relationships. This role acts as a bridge between London operations and our US accounting teams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

You will handle multi-entity reporting, internal controls, and monthly reconciliations, contributing to both financial and non-financial reporting. Strong collaboration and cross-border experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate finance/accounting environment preferred.
  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is required.
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP is required; familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate flow of financial information between UK partners/operators and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly financial data uploads and reconciliations of operator submissions.
  • Prepare supporting workpapers and execute monthly internal control procedures for partnership accounting.
  • Consolidate operator data for financial and non-financial reporting and performance analysis.
  • Produce accurate partnership financial statements and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Calculate and process monthly distributions to UK-based partners.
  • Assist in compiling data for tax preparation and compliance.
  • Support audit processes with requested documentation and auditor queries.
  • Review monthly operator submissions and investigate anomalies or variances.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting activities related to Welltower’s UK-based partnerships and operator relationships. This role will serve as a critical liaison between our London-based operations and our U.S. accounting teams, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. The position requires a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and multi-entity reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative approach and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional and cross-border environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct initial review of monthly operator financial submissions and investigate anomalies or variances.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • This is a 100% office-based role in Central London.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate finance/accounting environment preferred.
