Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your accountancy career within a global TIC business.

Responsibilities

  1. Monthly preparation of management accounts for UK & European entities
  2. Creating monthly presentations of financial results for the local management team
  3. Maintaining Balance Sheet reconciliations
  4. Producing management information, cash flow forecasts, and commentary on results
  5. Supporting system development within the BU GL accounting team
  6. Contributing to the preparation of annual budgets
  7. Reviewing spend against budget and challenging key stakeholders on significant variances
  8. Developing and improving reporting to enhance insight and drive value
  9. Enhancing automation of financial processes and reporting to minimize manual work, creating efficiencies to focus on adding value
  10. Supporting the development of junior finance team members
  11. Assisting in preparing yearly statutory accounts, tax packs, and handling external audits for UK entities
  12. Conducting regular site visits to support operations and ensure accurate financial reporting

Skills / Qualifications

  1. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with 3+ years of experience
  2. Proven experience as a management accountant
  3. Strong communication skills to provide clear commentary to management
  4. Good teamworking skills, positive attitude, proactive thinking, initiative, and flexibility
  5. Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement through analysis
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Strong numeracy skills
  8. Credibility and success in driving improvements as a value-added partner
  9. Analytic mindset
  10. European language skills are desirable
