Sheridan Maine isseeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team in Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
-Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
-Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
-Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
-Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
-Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation.
-Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
-Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant.
-Minimum 2 years experience in a UK accountancy role.
