Overview

Senior Account Manager | Package: £50,000 - £60,000 | Location: Gloucester. This is a hybrid role with plenty of flexibility; you'll work primarily from home, with occasional days in the Gloucester office and travel to client sites when needed. We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Senior Account Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in providing technical consultancy, managing client relationships, and driving sales growth. You'll be central to building long-term client relationships, delivering a market-leading customer experience, and contributing to our continued success.

Duties
  • Manage, maintain, and grow strong client relationships.
  • Generate new sales opportunities with existing accounts via phone, email, social media, and face-to-face visits.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of projects and recurring revenue.
  • Create structured account plans and IT roadmaps for your clients.
  • Work with in-house and vendor pre-sales teams to design, cost, and propose solutions.
  • Attend industry events to network, promote solutions, and uncover opportunities.
  • Keep our CRM and PSA systems up to date and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Act as a point of escalation for customer queries, ensuring service excellence.
  • Regularly engage on LinkedIn to build your profile and help grow our brand presence.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT solutions sales.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to structure and articulate complex opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and over the phone.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proven track record of generating, managing, and closing opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel (occasional overnight stays).
  • Experience working with Independent Schools or professional services clients would be an advantage.
