Job summary

Barclays is seeking an Account Governance Manager to join the Corporate Operations Governance team in Glasgow. You will strengthen risk management, governance, and control oversight across reconciliations and account substantiation processes, reviewing and challenging the integrity of reconciliations.

You will lead a high‑performing team, engage stakeholders, and drive end‑to‑end process improvements including automation and AI to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven people and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong experience in risk management, governance, or control assurance.
• Experience driving process improvement, including automation or the use of AI.
• Solid understanding of reconciliation, substantiation, and financial control frameworks.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret data and identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate processes.
• Identify improvements and provide operational recommendations.
• Develop and implement procedures and controls to mitigate risks.
• Develop reports and presentations on performance for senior stakeholders.
• Identify industry trends to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participate in projects to improve operational efficiency.
