Job summary

Porterhouse Medical is seeking a Senior Account Executive for our UK office with a hybrid role. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality client services, managing projects, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and clients.

The role requires insightful communication, proactive problem solving, and the ability to travel as needed. A life sciences background and strong written and verbal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record (2:1 or higher).
• At least 2 years of experience in a client services role in a medical communications agency or similar environment.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand needs and translate into high‑quality solutions.
• Proactively drive projects forward and see them through to completion in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal Porterhouse Medical teams to manage priorities and ensure top standards.
• Develop ability to understand new therapy areas quickly and inspire confidence with the Account Director.
• Identify opportunities for new business within existing accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and healthcare professionals; attend meetings in the UK and overseas.

Senior Account Executive (UK office/hybrid role) – job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our busy client services team. The successful candidate will have exceptional problem-solving, project management and diplomacy skills. Strong face‑to‑face and written communication skills and a proven ability to develop lasting client relationships are also essential. The successful candidate should be prepared to work in a fast‑paced, creative environment with occasional opportunities for travel.

As a Senior Account Executive, your key responsibilities will include:
