Digital Waffle, a specialist consumer PR agency in London (Soho), is hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive proactive press coverage across a varied portfolio of consumer brands. You’ll pitch proactively, draft press releases and e-alerts, run day-to-day campaign activity and build relationships that land regular national coverage.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ consumer PR agency experience.
• Proficient press release, e-alert and editorial writing.
• Proactive media pitching habit with a growing network of journalist contacts.
• Cross-discipline PR and social understanding.
• Confident presentation and face-to-face communication.
• Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Hands‑on with key PR tooling including Onclusive, Readly, Roxhill, Cision, Releasd and NLA.
• Positive, can‑do approach with the self‑starter energy to run things properly without being chased.
• Degree‑level education

Responsibilities

• Draft e-alerts, press releases and blog articles to a high standard.
• Proactively pitch media opportunities and build relationships with journalists and industry contacts to secure regular national coverage.
• Leverage content and partnership opportunities to extend campaign impact.
• Manage campaign activity including virtual events, media events, social media planning, influencer activations and media mailers.
• Create targeted media lists, invite journalists and influencers to events and manage RSVPs.
• Engage with the social side of campaigns alongside the PR work.
• Monitor press, broadcast, online and social for client opportunities and competitor activity.
• Source targeted data using Diary Directory, Roxhill and Readly, and keep gift guide and shopping page writer lists current.
• Contact publication houses to identify the right writers for gift guides.
• Keep journalist and influencer databases up to date, including who’s moving where and what freelancers are working on.
• Manage coverage clippings and support senior team members with reporting.
• Support new business pitches, including research, written and in-person presentations.
• Deliver internal and external documents with sharp attention to detail.
