Unknown company in Cambridgeshire seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary drug delivery projects, especially inhaled and injectable devices. You will drive concept generation, CAD layouts, and system analyses, coordinating across engineering disciplines to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong 3D CAD experience (Pro Engineer, SolidWorks), knowledge of ISO 13485/QSR, and hands-on skills in mechanism design, stress analysis, and mould flow analysis.

Qualificações

• An excellent first degree in an engineering or science based subject.
• Significant experience in an engineering design environment.
• Exposure to the healthcare industry.
• Experience in development of inhalation or injection devices and systems.
• Knowledge of manufacture and assembly processes from one-off designs to high volume manufacture.
• Good understanding of manufacturing techniques, assembly processes and material selection.
• Significant experience in 3D CAD, preferably Pro Engineer and SolidWorks.
• Understanding of medical device development processes compliant with ISO 13485 and QSR is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in leading mechanism design, stress analysis, mould flow analysis and other CAD analysis tools.

Responsabilidades

• Take roles within development projects from contract negotiation to final delivery.
• Generate concepts and layouts of systems in CAD, perform tolerance analysis.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines and present data to clients.
• Manage tasks within projects to meet tight timescales and budgets.
• Develop relationships with clients by understanding needs and writing proposals.
