Job summary

V.Group is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for HSC RoRo passenger ferries. You will oversee the engine department, ensure safe operations, and manage maintenance across all technical spaces on RoRo/HSC vessels onboard JAUME II and similar ships.

The role requires STCW95, CoC A-III/2, and extensive Chief Engineer experience on RoRo/HSC vessels, with rotation and contract terms described in the posting. Fluent English and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Valid STCW95 certification.
Valid CoC A-III/2.
Extensive experience as a Chief Engineer on RoRo Passenger and/or HSC vessels.
Strong ability to detect and identify the cause of machinery faults.

Responsibilities

Lead safe and effective operation and maintenance of all main, auxiliary and domestic machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and other regulations across the engine department.
Coordinate with ship's departments and report to the Captain and Marine Technical Department.
Manage engine room watches and engine room personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Oversee maintenance planning, inventory control and budgeting within the engine department.
