Job summary

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Goonhavern School, seeks a passionate Class Teacher and SENDCo to join our nurturing village school community. The role combines teaching in Year 2 with leading SEND provision, working closely with the Headteacher, families and external agencies to raise inclusion and attainment.

You will champion SEND, develop staff expertise, monitor progress and strengthen partnerships to ensure every child thrives academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Role combines teaching a Year 2 class with leadership of SEND provision across the school.
• Champion the needs of children with SEND and drive high standards of provision.
• Lead SEND strategy, monitor pupil progress and strengthen partnerships with families.
• Collaborate with parents and external agencies to support inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a Year 2 class on a job-share basis.
• Lead and develop inclusive SEND provision across the school.
• Monitor pupil progress and support staff development in SEND.
