Job summary

Judith Kerr Primary School invites applications for a dedicated SENDCo to lead high quality special educational needs provision. You will work under the Headteacher to develop and monitor SEN policy, coordinate provision, and support staff in delivering inclusive teaching and learning for all pupils.

You will collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure EHCPs are effective and that safeguarding standards are maintained, contributing to the school’s ambitious inclusion agenda.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SENDCo or equivalent leadership role.
• Knowledge of SEN policy and statutory guidance.
• Ability to lead inclusive practice across the school.
• Strong collaboration with families, external professionals and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead high quality SEND provision to enable excellent learning outcomes.
• Coordinate SEN policy and provision with the Headteacher and SLT.
• Provide professional guidance to staff and liaise with parents and external agencies.
• Develop strategic SEND plans aligned with school improvement.
• Oversee EHCPs, safeguarding and inclusion across the curriculum.
• Support transition and ensure records for SEND are up to date.
