Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with SEND students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor the SEND policy across the academy.
  • Evaluate and develop SEND provision to ensure student progress.
  • Lead efforts in working with outside agencies and different key stages.

Edenthorpe Hall Academy have an exciting opportunity for a SENDCO to join their team!

The SENCO is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Special EducationalNeeds and Disabilities policy across the academy. The post holder will be expected to take a strategic lead inevaluating and developing the Special Educational Needs and Disability provision within the academy andensuring that each student is positively encouraged, supported and challenged to make outstanding progress.

We are looking for:

  • Experience of working with students with SEND to achieve expected andbetter progress
  • Experience of planning and implementing strategies which impactsignificantly on student progress
  • Evidence of developing coherent data tracking systems to supportinterventions and their evaluation
  • Experience of working with outside agencies
  • Experience of working across different key stages
  • Experience of managing a team
