Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a committed SENDAR Officer to support the SEND Assessment and Review service across the county. You will coordinate casework, safeguard timely statutory outcomes and work closely with families and professionals to secure the right support for children with SEND.

The role emphasises collaborative working, accurate records, and child-centred decision making within a forward-thinking council offering flexible working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEND legislation and Code of Practice.
• Ability to coordinate complex casework and deadlines.
• Experience in customer-facing roles with families and schools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage casework including Annual Reviews and Phase Transfers.
• Ensure statutory processes and timescales are met.
• Liaise with families, schools and professionals to support outcomes.
