Job summary

KEYFORT Group is expanding its Alternative Education Service in partnership with North Tyneside Council to support students with complex needs who fall outside mainstream education. You will work under a qualified teacher to deliver a bespoke, person-centred curriculum, helping learners build independence, confidence and practical life skills in a flexible, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• A level 4 or above Teaching Assistant qualification/equivalent.
• Experience in SEN

Responsibilities

• Deliver good to outstanding teaching in line with the Ofsted framework and National Curriculum guidance.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Adapt learning approaches creatively to support students with SEND, SEMH needs and trauma backgrounds.
• Monitor progress, gather evidence of learning, and maintain accurate educational records.
• Contribute to and review ILPs, EHCPs, care plans and transition plans.
• Support enrichment activities including community-based learning, life skills development and practical sessions.
• Work collaboratively with families, Local Authorities and internal professionals.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare, wellbeing and education of all students at all times.
