Job summary

Quantum Scholars is looking for a supportive, patient and reliable 1:1 SEND Tutor to work with a young person in Herefordshire. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.

You will build a trusting relationship, adapt teaching to the student’s needs and help develop confidence and progress. You will collaborate with parents and professionals, monitor progress, and maintain clear communication while safeguarding at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or tutoring roles.
• Experience providing personalised educational support one-to-one.
• Ability to adapt learning and teaching to individual needs.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, flexible, calm and supportive approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check where required.
• Satisfactory professional references.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Delivering one-to-one tuition tailored to the student's individual needs.
