Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support children with SEND and SEMH needs in schools and local authorities across the United Kingdom. You can choose in-person, hybrid, or remote teaching and set flexible hours to fit your schedule.

You’ll work with Maths, English or Science, require QTS/QTLS and enhanced DBS, and receive support from a dedicated SEND team. This is a self-employed, opportunity-driven role with ongoing applications and rapid interview scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
