Empowering Learning is working with an Outstanding secondary special school supporting students aged 11-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autism (ASD). We are recruiting Teaching Assistants for September starts to support pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

The role:

• Supporting students with SLD, PMLD and Autism
• Assisting with communication, learning and personal development
• Working closely with teachers and therapists
• Providing personal care where required
• Helping create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment

We are looking for:

• Compassionate, reliable and proactive individuals
• Experience in SEND, care, education or support work is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• Ability to work as part of a dedicated team

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Child & Adult Workforce (or willingness to obtain one)
• Professional references covering the last two years
• Right to work in the UK
