Job summary

John Taylor MAT invites applications for two SEND Teaching Assistant roles. Successful candidates will help plan and deliver learning experiences for children with complex needs and work with families to share progress.

These posts are fixed-term for one year, term-time plus 6 INSET days, 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am–3.30pm. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and high standards of education across its schools.

Qualifications

  • 32.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and appropriate learning opportunities for children with complex needs.
  • Work alongside the SENDCo to implement and monitor individual targets and contribute towards EHCP and APDR reviews.
  • Share learning progress with parents and carers and support a broad, high-quality curriculum.

Job description

The Trust was founded in 2014, in John Taylor High School - an outstanding secondary school in Barton-Under-Needwood, and the first in Staffordshire to convert to become an Academy. We have grown steadily over time and currently serve 13 infant/primary schools, and 6 secondary schools.

In addition, the Staffordshire Research School and John Taylor Teaching School Hub are also key parts of our Trust, having gained a reputation for delivering outstanding professional development and support for teachers across a wide ranging offer.

Salary: Grade 4 (SCP 6 - 7) £26,847 - £27,274 per annum pro rata

Actual salary £20,478 - £20,803 per annum
