Milk Education are working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. You will support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, both in and out of class.

Qualifications

  • Experience as SEN TA, Learning Support Assistant or Youth Worker.

  • Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant on a 1:1 and small-group basis.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Tower Hamlets

Milk Education are working in partnership with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside teachers, pastoral staff and the SEND department to provide tailored support for students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties. The Role:
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant on a 1:1 and small-group basis.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Youth Worker.
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
