Priestlands School is seeking Teaching Assistants to join the SEND team for term-time and 30 hours per week. The role suits students, career changers, or those seeking classroom experience, with a focus on supporting learning for a class of 30 pupils.
Essentially you should enjoy building rapport with students and helping them learn. GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent are required. Applicants will undergo standard pre-employment checks and safeguarding steps.
We are seeking to appoint additional Teaching Assistants to join our SEND team in the new year, term time only. The position would suit a range of candidates, whether you are needing to work around the school runs, a college student on a gap year, or considering a career in teaching and would benefit from valuable classroom experience. Previous experience working in a similar role would be an advantage, but if you have the ability to work with a class of 30 teenagers whilst remaining calm and collected at all times - we would love to hear from you.
The essential qualities required are someone who enjoys a good rapport with students as well as the desire to help them learn and succeed. Based in both the classroom and our dedicated learning support centre, you will have an innovative, creative approach to ensure students gain access to the work.
Please read the attached information pack which includes details of the job description and person specification. Please note, you must have GCSE's in both English & Maths at a minimum grade C (or equivalent) to be considered for the role.
