Job summary

Rosebery School in Epsom seeks a Teaching Assistant to join the SEND team and support learning and development for all students.

You will work with teachers to support independent learning, social and emotional wellbeing, and metacognitive skills, in well-organised learning spaces with necessary resources. The role includes supervising breaks and supporting visits and therapy programs.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, ideally with those with SEN.
• Empathetic communicator able to develop positive relationships with students and adults.
• Ability to scaffold students' learning and support independence.
• Commitment to the process of learning and improvement.
• Positive role model and good team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality and timely support to students in lessons and SEND areas.
• Assist with independent learning, social and emotional wellbeing, and metacognitive skills.
• Support student visits, supervision at breaks, and therapy/care programs designed by external agencies.
• Ensure learning environments are well-organised and resources are accessible.
• Collaborate with teaching colleagues to support student development.
