Job summary

Milk Education are seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to work across Bolton's schools. The roles include 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.

Flexible, full-time, part-time and temporary placements are available, with potential long-term opportunities. Ideal candidates will be patient, resilient and have strong behaviour management and communication skills, with qualifications such as Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning

Qualifications

  • Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Level 2/Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications are desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Down syndrome, PMLD and complex SEND.
  • Assist pupils with SEMH needs, anxiety, emotional regulation and EBSNA.
  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour, communication and sensory needs.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility where required.
  • Implement individual education plans and tailored interventions.
  • Work with teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive learning environment.
