Milk Education is recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist and mainstream schools in Bolton. We are looking for passionate, patient and resilient individuals with previous experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced TAs, Learning Support Assistants and Behaviour Mentors who are looking for flexible work or long-term placements within SEND and SEMH settings.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Down syndrome, PMLD and complex SEND.
Assist pupils with SEMH needs, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSNA).
Support pupils with challenging behaviour, communication difficulties and sensory needs.
Assist with personal care and mobility where required.
Implement individual education plans, behaviour strategies and tailored interventions.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Behaviour Mentor.
Experience supporting pupils with autism, complex needs or SEMH.
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning are desirable.
A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
