SEND Teaching Assistant (Reception)
Job Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract Length: Fixed term while child remains at school
Actual Salary: TA grade 1, point 2 + SEND allowance,£8,424.10 per annum + £530.96 SEND Allowance Per Annum
Initially both posts would be 15 hours, 8.45am – 12.00pm Monday – Friday increasing to 25 hours over the academic year
St George’s CE Primary School has two vacancies for skilled, committed individuals to provide support for pupils due to start Reception in September with an Education, Health and Care Plan. We are looking to recruit people who have a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and are able to work as part of our friendly team.
The candidate would need the ability to form a safe, secure and supportive relationship with the pupil whilst showing patience, consistency and understanding to support their learning, social and communication needs. The right candidate would also need to be able to increase working hours and work flexibly as the children increase their hours at school. Please see the person specification for further details.
