Job summary

Vetro Recruitment in Cheshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision supporting children with SEND. This part-time, temporary role offers an opportunity to contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

You will support the class teacher with tailored activities, facilitate communication for pupils with diverse needs, monitor progress, and help maintain a vibrant classroom.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning
• Experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting
• Mandatory Enhanced DBS Check and safeguarding training
• Proactive approach and ability to work effectively in a team

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities for children with SEND
• Facilitate effective communication and engagement for pupils with diverse needs
• Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development
• Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
