Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking Teaching Assistants for a SEND primary school in Walton-on-Thames. You will support children with varied and complex needs, helping them feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

Working with teachers and the school team, you’ll provide personalised support, build positive relationships, and encourage independence across classroom, outdoor and enrichment activities. A caring, patient approach is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Caring, patient and compassionate approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually, in groups, and in class to access learning and achieve goals.
• Deliver engaging and personalised learning activities with teachers.
• Build trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, valued, and understood.
• Support pupil wellbeing and positive behaviour with calm, consistent support.
