Are you a qualified teaching assistant looking for work?
Academics would like to welcome SEND Teaching Assistants in the Erdington area to start as soon as possible on a long-term, short-term, or day-to-day basis.
We work with numerous schools in Birmingham where children have a range of special educational needs, including ADHD, ASD, EBD, BESD, SLD, PMLD, MLD, Sensory Impairment, Dyslexia, Visual impairment, and Hearing difficulties.
We consider all applicants with experience working with children from EYFS up to age 25. Candidates should have good subject knowledge and the ability to encourage children to reach their potential. TAs/LSAs should have experience working with small groups on intervention or booster activities and strong 1:1 experience.
Successful SEND TAs must have:
You may also be required to undertake administrative tasks such as handing out/collecting papers, photocopying, light marking, and setting up/taking down displays.
Academics requires all staff to have a fully enhanced DBS check, a minimum of two references, and to attend a face-to-face interview.
