Job description

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Start date: Immediate

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant in a Good SEND school in the Sandwell area.

Do you have experience working with children with SEND? Are you confident supporting pupils across all years (ages 11 -16)? Do you work well independently and as part of a team?

The school is seeking to appoint a strong, experienced Teaching Assistant to support children across the school on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. The school is for children with special education needs including autism and complex behavioural needs.

The role will include:

  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
  • Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
