Job summary

GSL Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Special School setting in Redditch. You will work as part of a team to enable access to learning and promote independence, confidence and social development.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, adapting activities to meet individual needs and helping learners achieve EHCP targets in a caring, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and working closely with teaching staff.
• Ability to adapt learning activities to individual needs and EHCP targets.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Assist with access to lessons and classroom activities.
• Help deliver individualised learning programmes and track progress.
• Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and transitions.
• Support communication, social and independence skills with pupils.
