Job summary

Forest Oak School is seeking two Band C Teaching Assistants to join our team on a maternity cover basis. Roles are term-time only (39 weeks) with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Monday, and 8:30 a.m.

to 3:20 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, plus two parent evenings each year. You will work under the Senior Leadership Team to support teaching staff, deliver high-quality learning experiences and help raise standards for all learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a childcare qualification.
• Experience in working with learners, preferably with additional needs.
• Ability to interact well with learners and teachers in a culture of trust and respect.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of quality learning, teaching and assessment to raise standards.
• Work under the instruction of the Senior Leadership Team and collaborate with teaching colleagues.
• Be an approachable first point of contact for parents and contribute to pastoral support.
• Demonstrate passion, enthusiasm and energy to engage learners daily.
