Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant in Walsall to support students with severe learning difficulties. The role includes working 1:1 with students and collaborating with professionals to foster a nurturing learning environment. Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Start Date: September 2025 Location: Walsall Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: Starting from £89 per day (dependent on experience) We are currently working with a Special Educational Needs Provision in Walsall. This welcoming and inclusive school supports to students from the age of 11-18 with severe learning difficulties, PMLD, and severe ASD. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a safe and stimulating learning environment. Whether you are supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, you will play a vital role in encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour. Key Responsibilities: • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups • Assisting with the learning, development needs of students • Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to ensure tailored support • Helping prepare students for their next steps beyond age 18 Candidate Requirements: • SEND experience and classroom experience is Essential • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) • Ability to provide two professional references • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development If you're looking for a rewarding position where you can make a genuine difference in students' lives, this could be the perfect fit for you.
